Hidee Gold Mine Mining Tour
(with your mined gold ore sample)

What to bring:

*Close toed shoes you can get a little dirty

* A Light Jacket

*Sunscreen

The Hidee Gold Mine is a well lit and safe environment. The average temperature inside the mine is 45° Fahrenheit so a light jacket and closed toe shoes are recommended.

The accessible workings are on the 135-foot level of an adit driven about 600 feet into the mountainside. The ground is level and the back height (ceiling) is generally above 6 foot so little stooping is required.

Visitors to the mine are welcome to try their hand at Hard Rock Mining. Use hammer and chisel to carve out a gold specimen from the main ore vein, yours to keep as part of the tour!

Tours are approximately 1 hour and please leave extra time to enjoy gold panning, the historic sites, our gift shop or lunch outside the mine.
