A mine tour lead by guides knowledgeable in local mining and geology. Gold panning instruction at the mine as well as a gold ore specimen you get to mine directly from the vein with hammer and chisel.

The Hidee Gold Mine is a well lit and safe environment. The average temperature inside the mine is 45° Fahrenheit so a light jacket and closed toe shoes are recommended.

The accessible workings are on the 135-foot level of an adit driven 700 feet into the mountainside. The ground is level and the back height (ceiling) is generally above 6 foot so little stooping is required.

Visitors to the mine are welcome to try their hand at Hard Rock Mining. Use hammer and chisel to carve out a gold specimen from the main ore vein, yours to keep as part of the tour!

Tours are approximately 1 1/2 hours with ample time given to enjoy gold panning or lunch outside the mine, however tour space is limited so emailing or calling ahead is recommended.
